Homework: 10 business card and write a word document analyzing the movie swingers. and put it in the dropbox.

Deeper Meaning of Swingers
Swingers is a movie, that on the surface shows a story of a man that is having trouble letting go of the past and moving on to the future. If one were to analyze this film any further you can see it as a movie about a man trying to get the job that would make his life better. For example, every man’s job is to find a woman make her happy and live happily ever after. Well the story never really ends up that way, but we all want it to. As a man I can safely say that we never really admit that we want love, but in this film in particular it seems that Jon Favreau’s character just want’s love.
In addition to that statement, this movie gives off the message that if you want something you are going to have to try your hardest to be confident that you can get what you want. In the beginning of Mike’s journey he started off by doubting himself, when in reality he just needed to be patient and confident. Because like every other human being you are going to hit obstacles somewhere in your life, you just have to the confidence to bounce back from them, and that is the same concept as getting a job. Because sometimes you miss out on an opportunity to get a job you really want, but sometimes you have to be optimistic and know there will be something out there for you.

In conclusion the movie swingers is more than a movie about love it is a movie about a defeated man who lost his job that he had for 6 years and now he is trying to get a new job. A job that was better than his last.

According to this article, "Keep in mind that networking is about being genuine and authentic, building trust and relationships, and seeing how you can help others." is there number one quote, I guess as people often forget that over conversing with people all day.

2. http://blogs.hbr.org/2012/10/the-serendipitous-entrepreneur/

I thought this article had two really good quotes,

"The best networking suggestion I can offer? Always say yes to invitations, even if it’s not clear what you’ll get out of the meeting."

"When you want something, broadcast that to everyone you meet."

Week 1 EOC: Narrative, Voice, Elevator Introduction

Narrative

I am a Cinematic Storyteller, I artistically tell a story through moving pictures. Building a bridge through visuals and audio, bringing an audience in to a world where they become entertained and inspired. I was raised by a single mother, and the best memories that I have when I was younger was going to the movies with her. I did not think that cinema would be such a huge part of my future, I was always interested in writing and telling stories. It was not until I was a year and a half in to college when I figured that being a cinematic storyteller was what I wanted to be. The more I learn about my career, the more I like it. I love the how working in this industry brings so many different pieces of art in to one grand production that becomes a movie. Being on production with a team of people that all have a goal to create a movie, is something that is sort of life changing. You meet and work with people that you have never met before, and you become sort of a family after you have worked with them for a long period of time. In conclusion, my main goal in life is to become an auteur in this industry. I look forward to entertaining and inspiring mass audiences in movie theaters across the globe. I just hope that one day one of my movies will inspire some one to have the courage to follow their own dreams.
